A few more Fall photos

Finn spent a lot of time outside wearing the sweater Grandma knit. The weather turned crisp, and he wanted nothing to do with hats, so the attatched hood kept him cozy and warm so that he could play outside for hours.

This is Finn's face when he is really into something.

Big Eyes!

Couldn't resist this one.

Cabin Update

The cabin is now insulated, the windows are going in and the siding is going on. The electrical will follow this weekend when Uncle Dan comes in to lend his knowledge.
First window goes in. We are very excited!

Halloween!

Despite how he looks here, Finn's first Halloween was packed full of festivities and fun. It started out with a party at the one room school house in Cooke City. After that, we all hit the streets for Trick or Treating, and then later went to Silver Gate for the annual "after" party. We all had a blast. In this picture, he just got a little upset because I took him away from the doggies to take a photo.
Here we all are, heading out for Trick or Treating on the town. It was a little chilly, but everyone was so excited I don't think anyone noticed.
Finn has his first Trick or Treat!
At Party #2, Finn changes into his evening wear - Scarecrow from the Wizard of OZ. Vicki was nice enough to lend Finn her son's costume from last year.
Finn had a blast playing with all the kids. He loves to position himself in the center of the action, he really gets right in there!

Finn's gettng tired, it's two hours past his bedtime and he has partied all day!

Finn does all his own stunts

Finn has his first pumpkin experience. He loved trying to eat the seeds and playing around in the pumpkin slime. He then (not so carefully) navigated a self-designed pumpkin obstacle course.

Finn's Hangout!

Finn fires orders to the crew

The framing took just seven days as the boss kept all workers busy and hustling at all times.

Finn fires up the compressor

Finn decided that we need more space, so he arranged the work crew of Uncle Dan, Grandpa Forss, Dad & Mom to build our getaway cabin in Silver Gate Montana.

Finn and Annalise enjoying another Indian Summer Day

Annalise is Mom's favorite helper. She comes over and entertains Finn for 50 cents from 6:30 to 7. They will be life long friends, and Finn has no better role model then the brilliant Annalise Mayor!

He's Crawling!

Finn starting crawling at about 7 months. He is a pro and now Mommy has to watch him every second! He just loves his new mobility and we are learning he is quite the adventurous, independent little boy. Only problem his is having is with his wardrobe-he crawls out of his pants.

Sunset in Jackson

Finn watches the sunset in the back yard

and the last bit of sun....

Daddy and Finn in Silver Gate

Here Daddy is working hard building forms for footers on the small cabin in Silver Gate. The foundation wall is being poured soon and then it is time to frame. This is Finn's first fun in a pile of dirt - he loved it!

Finn the Revolutionary

Mom helped concieve and organize a Peace Rally on August 11. It was a great day and Finn honed his peaceful protest skills. He didn't say a word, just bit his sign when the urge to react became too great.

Finn exercising his 1st amendment rights.

String Lake

Here is Mom and Finn's favorite place to swim. The water is only about 3 feet deep, and there is lots of sand to eat.

Finn's Friend Jackson

Finn had five days of fun with his new friend Jackson Booher. Jackson was visiting from Seattle with his mom Ellie. They went swimming together, went to parties, walks and had endless hours of (sort of) playing. Here they are enjoying a morning on the bed, staring at the shiney brass. Finn loves his new friend Jackson, and cannot wait until he can crawl so that can get into more trouble. Jackson was 5 months here, and Finn was 7 months old.

Finn's First Solids!

Here's Finn eating his first bowl of rice cereal. He is still trying to master pushing food to the back of his mouth instead of out the front. His current favorite solid food is sweet potatoes, with banannas a close second. He's growing up so fast isn't he?
Stopping to pose for the camera
It's fun to push the food back at Daddy
He Likes it!

Views from Silver Gate

Jeff and I purchased a small lot in Silver Gate, Montana. It is a mile from the Northeast entrance to Yellowstone and we are currently having a blast working on plans for a cabin which we intend to start building this summer. You are all invited! This photo is a view from the center of the lot looking East.

Hello Easter Bunny

Finally, Finn got to meet this Easter Bunny everyone was talking about. This meeting marked the beginning of one of Finn's most exciting mornings in Jackson Hole. He might even get his picture in the newspaper with the Easter Bunny since the photographer from Planet Jackson Hole thought he was pretty cute.

Balloons

Finn loved the big bouncy balloons, and Mommy and Daddy loved how they matched his hat.
